Harley Owners Group and the Fenlanders

In 1983 The Harley-Davidson Motor Company decided to set up an owners group, the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) . It was the brainchild of Willie G Davidson and provided a recognised club structure for Harley owners. It proved incredibly successful and many hundreds of thousands of people have since benefited from membership.

Membership of H.O.G. is automatic by virtue of purchasing a new Harley-Davidson or is available by phoning 0870 908 1450 (H.O.G. UK). Once you join H.O.G. you will receive the UK and World-wide magazines, plus discounts on lots of items from Ferry tickets to insurance. You will also be welcome at the many H.O.G. rallies held annually, both home and abroad. Once you have become a member of H.O.G. you will be eligible to join the local Chapter. Each Chapter is sponsored by a local dealer, for the Fenlanders it is Black Bear at Newmarket.

The Fenlanders H.O.G. Chapter was formed in 1992, originally based at Classic Harley-Davidson in Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, UK. In 1996 the current sponsoring dealer, Black Bear (Newmarket, Suffolk) took over. Since then the Chapter has grown to over 360 members and is increasing all the time. We meet formally at 12.00 on the first Sunday of every month at the Crown Public House, Mundford, near Thetford. Click here for map showing how to get there.

Potential new members are always welcome so please feel free to come along - we don’t think you will be disappointed! Fenlanders is made up of all kinds of people from all walks of life. The benefits of joining are many, including a monthly newsletter, monthly meetings, ride-outs, rallies (of course ours is the best in the UK!), rider safety courses and various charity events.
