A BRIEF HISTORY
|Harley Owners Group
In 1983 The Harley-Davidson Motor Company decided to set up an owners group, the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.). It was the brainchild of Willie G Davidson and provided a recognised club structure for Harley owners. It proved incredibly successful and many hundreds of thousands of people have since benefited from membership.
Once you have become a member of H.O.G. you will be eligible to join the local Chapter. Each Chapter is sponsored by a local dealer, for Fenlanders it is Newmarket Harley-Davidson®, a part of The Lind Group.
The Fenlanders H.O.G.
The Chapter was formed in 1992, originally based at Classic Harley-Davidson Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, UK. In 1996 this changed to BlackBear HD and in October 2013 Newmarket Harley-Davidson, a part of The Lind Group, became the sponsoring dealer. Since then the Chapter has over 300 members and is increasing all the time. Our Director is a charter and founding member. Each year at the end of July we organise and run the East of England Rally (of course the best in the UK!).
